About Averdeno

Established beside the lights,
built on clinical discipline.

Averdeno began in 2014 with one observation: the busiest hospitality districts in Canada attracted millions of visitors a year and offered them almost no serious private medical care. We built it.

  • Founded in Niagara Falls, now four Canadian locations
  • 120 physicians, therapists and nurses
  • Independent, physician-owned, no external clinical influence

Our story

A clinic for a city that never fully sleeps.

Dr. Elaine Cormier spent eleven years in emergency medicine in the Niagara region. She watched the same pattern each season: visitors arriving from across the world, spending three nights in a resort district, and having nowhere to go for anything between a pharmacy counter and a hospital emergency room.

Averdeno opened as a six-room private clinic on Fallsview Boulevard with two physicians and a promise that a guest could be seen the same day, in private, at a standard equal to the hotel they were staying in. Twelve years later the model runs in four cities, with imaging, laboratory, rehabilitation, SPA and a longevity programme — and the promise is unchanged.

Mission, vision and philosophy

Three statements we are willing to be measured against.

Mission

To give every visitor to a Canadian resort destination access to unhurried, private, evidence-based medical care within hours of asking for it.

Vision

A Canada where integrated resorts are recognised as genuine health destinations, and where hospitality standards raise clinical experience rather than replacing it.

Philosophy

Luxury is not marble. It is a physician with forty-five minutes, a result that arrives when promised, and a plan written in language you can act on.

Medical philosophy

Precision first. Comfort always. Never the reverse.

Every Averdeno protocol is written by our clinical council and reviewed annually against Canadian and international guidance. Hospitality shapes how care is delivered; it never shapes what is clinically indicated.

01

Diagnose before you treat

No programme, package or aesthetic procedure begins without a physician-led assessment. Guests are frequently told that the treatment they requested is not the treatment they need.

02

Time as a clinical instrument

Standard consultations run forty-five minutes. Executive assessments run half a day. Most missed diagnoses are missed for lack of minutes, not lack of technology.

03

Continuity across borders

A patient seen in Niagara in March and Vancouver in October meets the same record, the same protocol and, where possible, the same physician.

04

Say no clearly

We decline requests that are not clinically justified and refer out when a case belongs in a hospital. Our reputation depends on the cases we turn away.

Casino resort partnerships

Working inside hospitality, on clinical terms.

Averdeno holds service agreements with four resort groups. Their teams handle the guest relationship; ours handles the medicine. The boundary is written into every contract.

Integrated resorts

On-site clinical rooms and same-day physician visits inside four partner resort properties.

Provincial standards

Care delivered by physicians licensed with their provincial colleges and accredited allied health teams.

International guests

Interpreting in nine languages, insurance documentation and coordinated follow-up abroad.

Around the clock

A concierge desk that answers at 03:00, because entertainment districts do not keep office hours.

Regulated, audited, documented.

  • Physicians licensed by provincial colleges of physicians and surgeons
  • Registered nurses, physiotherapists and massage therapists in provincial registries
  • Laboratory partners accredited for diagnostic testing
  • Records held in Canada under PIPEDA and provincial health privacy law
  • Annual independent clinical governance audit
